GRACE is four women singing á cappella – none of whom are actually named Grace. Our group used to be called Alias, but we kept getting asked, "Alias what?" Or somehow we would be introduced as "Alien"!! So, now it's Grace. And we're stickin' with it. And, anyway, grace is something we aspire to... right up there with tact and subtlety. Back in the beginning of 1998, Marta and Patty had the brainstorm that created Alias. Jeanette and her arranging talents joined soon after, bringing with her a knack for great harmonies and a penchant for professional basketball. Ask us if we get any rehearsing done during playoffs! When Patty left to be a mom, a few excellent voices stepped in to fill her shoes. Now she's back. With new shoes. Something red, with a little stiletto heel. Dena, who not long ago was the newest voice of Grace, created our sexy little logo... obviously during the time she should have been learning her choreography! But, how's the music, you ask? As one impartial audience member put it: "You drop people to their knees with your soulful singing and delivery..." Thanks...um, it's OK to get up now...
