HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW...

GRACE is four women singing á cappella – none of whom are actually named Grace.   Grace is something we aspire to... right up there with tact and subtlety... but, y'know, don't hold your breath.

Back in 1998, Marta and Patty started this little adventure with Jeanette and her arranging talents joining soon after. We've grown together so much as a group, each bringing something special to the stage; Jeanette and her low-down-no-good-cheatin'-man stories, Marta and her jokes, Patty and her cleavage. Ah, yes. Something for everyone.

Now, there's GRACE's music, and then there are GRACE shows. The music, well, we cover some of the greatest songs of this century and the last by artists such as Queen, The Jackson 5, The Mamas and the Papas, and, of course, Weird Al Yankovic. And, yes, his is OUR MOST REQUESTED SONG EVER!!!  (no, really, and it's one of his own compositions, too.) There's no band - unless you count the pitch pipe, and please don't - so all you hear are the four of us... every little note, nuance and clunker.

GRACE's shows are "just like watching a sitcom."   Evidently.   We're still working that one out, but we're pretty sure it's a compliment of some kind.  Although our music is planned, what happens on stage rarely is.  We've performed in clubs, concert halls, sports arenas, at private parties and, once, on a dock at 5:30 in the morning surrounded by hundreds of women in bathing suits.  We were fully dressed.

So, thanks for visiting our website. We're really, really, really happy to have you here. Really.

Patty Everett

Patty (soprano) came to L.A. from N.Y. so she didn't have to ride in subways anymore and, oh yeah, the weather maybe had something to do with it. While in N.Y. she performed in national tours of CATS and 42nd Street. She was also seen in A Chorus Line, Evita, a ton of King & I's and a boatload of other musicals. After coming to L.A. she performed in Can Can, South Pacific, and Sugar Babies, to name a few. Her voice could also be heard on commercials and movies. She is a founding member of GRACE when it was Alias, had to take some time off but is very happy to be back with these wack jobs. email

Jeanette Meyer

Jeanette (alto) is an army brat who lived all over the world, from Germany to Chicago, before calling L.A. home. She is an accomplished pianist and the group's primary arranger. She brings to Grace grinding blues vocals, which she refined in Cherry Pink, a Las Vegas '50s show group. Jeanette also sang lead and played keyboards for the Smart Cookies, an all female band from L.A. An avid ice skater, she recently took first place in the adult category of the 2nd annual in-house competition at the Iceoplex in Panorama City. By the way, there were only 2 competitors over 12 years old. email

Marta Weiskopf

Marta (contralto) is the heart of Grace. As the founding member, she is committed to using all of her vocal talent – a contralto with a three octave range – combined with her love of soul and jazz to bring á cappella mainstream. Her extensive background includes: lead singer for bands Crosswind, Orchid and a doo-wop group called The Neons. Besides sold out cabaret shows and musical theatre, Marta has lent her voice for Nike and Mitsubishi commercials and in the TBS special "Elvis Around the World." You can also see Marta strut her stuff with the jazz á cappella quintet Pacific Swingline.  email

Sonia Faye

Sonia (mezzo-soprano) is born and raised in Southern California where she lived the glee life in a group called The Camerata, long before  “Glee”(the main difference being that Idina Menzel is not her mother. Quel dommage…).  She left her sunny hometown for Chicago (brrrrr!) where she attended The Theater School at DePaul University and received her Bachelor’s degree.  She performed at the historic Goodman Theater in "Twelfth Night" and along with her role as Olivia, some other favorites are Helena in "A Midsummer Night’s Dream", Sally Bowles in "Cabaret" and Catherine in "Pippen".  Sonia returned to SoCal to get a real tan. She continues to study voice and theater performance and is so excited to join the beautiful, talented and wacky GRACE family. Sonia thanks her husband, David, and her two boys, Josh and Jake, for all of their love and support. email
